It may sound far-fetched but in my experience in my line of work as an event manager, it's worth noting that event photography or videography pricing takes a big chunk of the budget especially if the photographer/videography is famous or known for their quality and expertise.

Their pricing can vary greatly depending on factors such as the photographer or videographer's experience and reputation, location, the type of photography (weddings, commercial, portraits, etc.), and the specific services and products included in the package.

It's not surprising many couples often try to cut down on these pricings even after working out contract and price negotiations with the photographers or opt for more affordable options when the photographer won't budge on pricing or offer a more affordable customized package.

Some may even opt for a dual-service media outfit where the photographer would also shoot the video. Most times, we try to dissuade the client against this decision because it often boomerangs due to low-quality deliverables or media productions.

When considering the cost of photography or videography, it's essential to recognize the value and expertise that professional photographers bring to the table and understand that the price reflects the investment they have made in their skill, equipment, and business.

Before hiring a photographer or videographer, request for their portfolio or business social media handle to ensure that the quality of their jobs adequately reflects the pricing quoted. Ensure they are worth their hype and price.
